The Emperor Angelfish, a.k.a. Imperator Angelfish, is a stunningly beautiful fish as an adult. The Adult Emperor has a blue body with yellow-green horizontal stripes beginning behind the pectoral fin and stretching to its tailfin. The face has a distinct "mask" look, with its eyes covered by a dark band and white around the mouth area. The Indian Ocean Emperors have a bright yellow tailfin. These fish do well in large aquariums and prefer lots of swimming room to feel comfortable. The Emperor Angel should be kept in a tank of 120 gallons or larger, so it'll have ample room to roam. They will spend most of their day grazing algae that grows on live rock. They should not be kept with other Angels and only one should be kept per tank. They should be reserved for established tanks with at least 6-12 months growth of green micro algae, or even better some live rock and the experience to go with it....
